JESUS ONLY???
Praise
the Lord,
How are you? I'm blessed by the best, so I have no need to
complain. I have some what to say to you about your webpage on
Holiness. In the part of the doctrine, you said that there is One
God eternally existing in three (3) persons namely: God the
father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Can you give me scripture references for the 3 persons? My bible
says in James 2:19 : "Thou believest that there is ONE God, thou
doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. So how can he
being singular, be them? First John: 5:7: For there are three that
bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are ONE.
There is on God and his name is Jesus. The proof is in the word.
Let's look at St. Matthew :28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost:
Let's examine this scripture. Jesus is leaving the Great
Commission. But he left a great mystery also. He said baptizing
them in the name. But he gave 3 titles. These aren't their names,
They are titles. So let's go into the word and find out what the
name is.
Let's deal with the Father. Isaiah : 9:6: says "For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: (This scripture is refering
to Jesus correct?) and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty
God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. So Isaiah said
He's the Mighty God, and the Everlasting Father. So God the Father
is Jesus. Need more proof God is Jesus + Jesus is God. Read St
John 1-18. If the Word is God, and it was made flesh then Jesus is
God in the Flesh. True no man has seen God at any time, because
God is a spirit, so he had to become the son so that we could
behold him.
The son is easy : St. Matthew : 1:21: And she shall bring forth a
son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his
people from their sins. So Jesus is the Son.
Now lets tie the Holy Ghost into this picture. St. John: 20:22:
The definition of the Holy Ghost is the spirit of Jesus or the
Breath of God. What did Jesus do in this scripture? He breathed on
them and said receive ye the Holy Ghost. Jesus is the Holy Ghost.
So now we can imply the scripture in Acts: 2:38 That's the name.
His name is JESUS. Yes there is one God, and he is exiting in one
Person: Jesus Christ.
Other scriptures that you may want to look up are: Phillipians:
2:5-12; 2nd Timothy: 3:16; Romans: 6:1-23; St. John: 3:1-7; St
John: 8:54-59 ;
So it can be agreed that Jesus is God Almighty.
I pray that God will open up your understanding to these
scriptures. Jesus said, Search the scriptures for in them ye think
ye have eternal life, but these are they that testify of me.
God bless you, and you may write me back
